Making potty training fun: a positive start for your child

Potty training is an important milestone in a child's development. It doesn't have to be a difficult or stressful process, not for you, and certainly not for your child. The key lies in the approach: playful and consistent. We believe that children learn best when they feel safe and are having fun. That's why we're organising free information sessions for parents and carers, together with psychologist and author Debby Mendelsohn.

Growing together with joy
Potty training is not a race. Every child develops at their own pace. When children are guided in a positive and loving way, they often experience potty training as something fun and natural. This increases their motivation to participate and their confidence in their own abilities.

Free information sessions: Potty training is child's play

We have specially invited Debby Mendelsohn to lead these sessions. She shares practical insights and tips from her years of experience as a psychologist. Debby is also a mother of six children and author of the books Potty Training is Child's Play and Breastfeeding Made Easy. There is plenty of room for all your questions on this topic — you are very welcome!
During the free sessions, you will get answers to these questions:

  • When is my child ready for potty training?
  • How do I make the training a positive experience?
  • What do I do if it doesn't work straight away?
  • How do I handle accidents?

The session offers space for practical tips, relatable examples and the opportunity to ask questions. Discover more information about the session here. Will we see you there?

Two summer tips for a relaxed potty training experience

Summer can be a great time to get started with potty training. Debby shares two tips to help you begin.

Make the most of free time
On holiday? This can be a wonderful opportunity to guide your child through potty training. You often have more time and calm to focus on the process. Only go for it if you have enough space to practise consistently and support your child properly.

Accidents are easier to handle
Accidents are part of potty training. In summer, they're often just a little easier to manage: light clothing washes quickly, children play outside more and everything dries faster. That tends to make practising more relaxed for both parent and child.

Together towards a new milestone
Potty training doesn't have to be a source of stress. With patience, trust and a positive approach, it can actually be a beautiful step in your child's development. We love supporting parents during this phase, so that children can grow and discover, together and with joy!
