Childcare for babies and toddlers

The first time you take your baby to day care can be quite unnerving. What can I expect, will they be able to pay enough attention to my child, what about sleep? Tell us what your day at home looks like and what matters to you, and together we will make sure that your baby quickly feels at ease with us!

Will my baby receive enough attention?

Our loving baby experts really do pay attention to your child. That means that we quietly feed babies on our laps and maintain eye contact, speak softly and name what we do. We keep a close eye on the signals your child gives. Is he or she tired, ready for a different toy or in need of a cuddle?

Group allocation

Depending on the location, we work with two different compositions:

  • We have groups of 0–2-year-olds at few locations. These children virtually all have the same rhythm, which makes the day manageable. There is enough attention, toys and rest for your child.
  • At other locations, the age range of a group is somewhat broader, namely that of the 0-3-year and 0-4 year olds. The benefit of such a division is that younger children can learn from the slightly older children. The older children learn to engage with smaller children, and in doing so, learn about ‘patience’ and ‘caution’.

Regardless of the group composition, we offer your child activities that suit his or her developmental stage.

A good start: preparing your baby for the day-care centre

For many babies, the transition from home to day-care is quite a big one. Your baby will have to get used to different carers, new sounds and smells, and a different bed. Together with you, we want to make sure your baby quickly feels at ease with us. The flyer below will explain how you can start helping your baby at home to make the transition to day-care centre easier.

Frequently Asked Questions

When can I register my child for daycare?

You can register your child for daycare as soon as the expected date of birth is known. Our customer advice staff will contact you to discuss the options for your child.

Holidays, exchange days and requests for extra days

During school holidays, your child is automatically scheduled on his or her regular childcare days. Do you have holiday plans or a day trip planned? Please report your child’s absence as early as possible via the Parent App.

Exchanging days is an additional service provided by Bink, which we only offer during school weeks. Group size, group composition and the number of available pedagogical staff must allow it. The childcare location decides whether an exchange day is possible. Exchanging days is not possible during school holidays.

If you want to exchange a day, you must first submit an absence notification via the Parent App.

In the Parent App (under the section Locatie) you can find a detailed explanation of the options and conditions for exchanging days and requesting extra days at the day care centre.

Is there an adjustment period when my child starts at daycare?

Yes, during the introductory meeting we will discuss with you the best way for your child to feel at home at the daycare. Your child will get used to the daycare center during the first few days. We gradually increase the number of hours from the start date of the agreement. So keep in mind that you cannot immediately make full use of the day(s) of care. Please note that you must remain available for your child during the settling-in days.
