Opstapje – playing and learning together with your child

Young children learn by doing and playing. As a parent, you can support your child in this. The home program “Opstapje” is for parents of children aged 1 to 3 years. Together, you can explore and grow in a playful way.

What is Opstapje?


Opstapje is a free program in Hilversum for parents and their children aged 1 to 3 years.
The program was developed by Bereslim and is carried out in Hilversum by Bink, in collaboration with the Municipality of Hilversum, Youth and Family Gooi en Vechtstreek, and the Hilversum Library.
Over the course of 30 weeks, parents and children discover together, in a playful way, just how fun learning can be.

How it works

  • Home guidance: A family coach from Bink visits your home every week.
  • Playing together: They show you how to play games and do activities, helping your child learn new things.
  • Materials: You will receive an activity book, worksheets, and play materials.
  • Diploma: After 30 weeks, your child will receive an Opstapje diploma.
My child knew all the car brands, but not the colors. Thanks to the tip from the family coach “you name the color when they say the brand” he learned it in a playful way.

Why join?


Learning and playing together strengthens the bond with your child. Your child discovers new things and can develop more effectively. The program is free, and everyone is welcome to participate.
