What is Opstapje?
Opstapje (previously ‘Instapje’) is a stimulation programme for at home, to increase the education opportunities for children aged between 1 and 3 years old, residing in Hilversum. The programme lasts 30 weeks and is a collaboration between the municipality of Hilversum, Youth and Family Gooi en Vechtstreek, the Hilversum Library and Bink kinderopvang.
Programme
During this special programme, a Bink family counsellor will pay weekly visits to the family in a fun way, playfully providing new playing and learning experiences. In her way of dealing with the child, the Opstapje staff member is a model for the mother and teaches her how she can support and stimulate her child’s development. By watching, listening, playing, talking, and providing encouragement and structure. The programme booklet containing activities, various play materials and work sheets is a useful tool. At the end of the programme, the family receives an Opstapje diploma.
