What is Opstapje?
Opstapje (formerly Instapje) is a stimulation program for children aged 1 to 3 years in Hilversum. The 30-week program is a collaboration between the Municipality of Hilversum, Jeugd en Gezin Gooi en Vechtstreek, Bibliotheek Hilversum, and Bink childcare.
Program
A family counselor from Bink visits the family weekly. Through play and engaging activities, the counselor introduces new learning experiences. Acting as a role model, the counselor shows parents how they can support and encourage their child’s development by observing, listening, playing, and talking.
The program provides structure and practical tools, such as an activity book, worksheets, and play materials. At the end of the course, the family receives an Opstapje diploma.
“We believe it’s important that every child has equal opportunities, regardless of their background,” says Monique Wittebol, chair of Bink.
