Important information for out-of-school care

Check your details

Because Bink is required to provide information about childcare hours and hourly rates to the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst), it’s important that all personal details and the citizen service numbers (BSN) of both you and your child are complete and correct before the start of care.

Of course, we handle your data with care and only share it when legally required. You can read more about our policy at: cookies & privacy.

Applying for childcare allowance

All the information you need to apply for childcare allowance can be found in your contract. Please allow a processing time of four to eight weeks. The allowance must be applied for within three months after the starting month of care. Applying too late means you may lose (part of) your entitlement.

You can easily apply via the Toeslagen app of the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. Need help? Visit a toeslagenservicepunt (allowance service point) in your area.

Open almost all year round

Our out-of-school care (BSO) locations are open almost all year, including during school holidays. We are only closed on a few predetermined days each year. You will receive an annual overview of these closure days, which are also listed in the Frequently Asked Questions section.

Parent portal

About six weeks before the start date, you will receive a separate email containing your username (email address) and an activation link to set your password. After setting your password, you can log in at: https://bink.ouderportaal.nl

Here you can:

  • View photos and group messages;
  • Notify us when your child will be absent;
  • Communicate with the pedagogical professionals.

You can also use Konnect through the Konnect Parent App, available for free in the App Store (Apple) and Google Play (Android).

Introduction meeting

About three weeks before the start date, the location manager or assistant manager will contact you to schedule an introduction meeting. During this meeting, you’ll receive information about the care, find out which group your child will be in, and discuss the settling-in period.

Settling-in period

At the BSO, your child usually visits once for an introduction in their regular group. This helps them get to know the pedagogical professionals, the group, and the environment, so they can quickly feel safe and comfortable.

Frequently Asked Questions

On this page, you’ll find answers to frequently asked questions — for example, about the parent portal, our nutrition policy, rates, and how to report changes.

Transport from school to the BSO

When the school is linked to the BSO location, Bink automatically arranges transport from school to the BSO.

Transport to sports clubs and swimming lessons

We believe it’s important for every child to be able to participate in sports or swimming lessons, even during BSO hours. That’s why we offer free transport to various sports clubs and swimming pools in Hilversum and Soest as an extra service.

Good to know:

  • You register your child directly with the sports club or swimming pool and handle the payment yourself.
  • Transport to sports clubs is available for children aged 6 and older.
  • You can easily submit a request via this page.
