What are the possible consequences of the staff shortage?

• It is possible that we will ask for your flexibility in the coming period, by switching care days, changing groups, for instance, or having your child move to the next group later on. We will carefully consider what the best solutions are. As soon as we know more, we will discuss this with you.
• Exchanging or requesting extra days is a service we offer whenever possible, but, due to staff shortages, this will not possible at the day-care centres for the time being. At the out-of-school care facilities, we have more space to manoeuvre in terms of staffing, so exchanging days is possible in consultation.
• It is increasingly common for us not to be able to meet placement requests on the desired date. In some cases, we cannot even offer a place at all. Unfortunately, this means that it is no longer a matter of course that siblings can be placed at Bink. We are very sorry about this and in such situations we will, of course, immediately consult with the parents concerned.
• You may regularly notice new and different faces in the group. We obviously do our best to limit this situation and only do this to ensure that a group can remain open.
• Sometimes we are forced to care for your child in another group or to combine groups. We will let you know when this is the case.
• We expect to be unable to offer care in one or more of our 241 groups every week. We deploy staff in such a way that the groups that are closed are always rotated. In this way, we can share the burden and it will take some time before there will not be offered care for the same group. It goes without saying that we will try to inform you about this as soon as possible.
