We would like to update you with regarding to daycare this week.
Daycares and play groups will remain open to children from parents who have signed up for child care and are in ‘vital employment’. The location is opened, even when there is only one child present. Groups within these locations might be merged. All out-of-school care will be clustered, similar to school holidays.
We try to have our regular child care workers present at each location, same as usual. However, given the circumstances this might not always be possible. We humbly ask for your understanding.
Only signing up your child is necessary
Due to the many log-ins by parents, the parental online portal Konnect (Mijn Bink) is overloaded. For exactly this reason Konnect has temporarily shut down the calender option and the option for bookings. Signing up, signing out and exchanging days is therefore not possible. Please, do let us know if your child is actually coming to daycare. This is possible through a message to your specific group using Mijn Bink. Please list which days your child will make use of the day care facilities this week, you can also sign up for extra days with no added cost.
‘Both parents in vital employment’ is no longer a requirement for right to day care
The government has adjusted their view on the right to child care. The requirement of both parents in vital employment is no longer as strict. If one of both parents is in vital employment and the other is not, you are requested to arrange the care for your children yourself. However, if this is not working out for you, you have the right to take your child to the day care anyways. All vital jobs are named on this list.
